Our growing NGO is seeking to hire a Logistic Officer to responsible to manage all of the assets and ensure proper inventory tracking as per Mercy Corps’ established procedures. S/he manages the vehicle and motorcycle fleet and transport needs of all team members. S/he is responsible for the effective management of all warehouses and storerooms, and all of their contents activities according to donor regulation and MC procedures and policies. The Mercy Corps Operations Department exists to support the smooth running of Mercy Corps activities to achieve its objectives in Timor-Leste in adherence with the rules and regulations of the organization, its donors and the government of Timor-Leste. Operations Department has several main divisions which cover Procurement, Logistic, Fleet, Administration and IT.


Based in Dili, a Bachelor degree in Economic and Management or a related field is required. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication and problem solving, as well as the ability to prioritizing the task and time-management skill to manage day to day important work done. Previous experience in general office management is a plus


 


Logistic Officer Responsibilities:


·       Ensure that all Mercy Corps Timor-Leste’s assets are properly recorded, registered, tagged and tracked as per Mercy Corps management policy.


·       Responsible for checking  in/out Mercy Corps owned equipment to authorized staff using the standard Mercy Corps procedures and forms outlined in the asset management manual;


·       Responsible for the timely preparation of documentation of any movement of assets in Mercy Corps formats;


·       Ensure all lost, damage, sold, stolen, (or other) items are properly recorded in with an approved disposal of assets form. Ensure any necessary, supplement documentation is completed; advise supervisor on any broken, damaged or destroyed equipment;


·       Assist Operation manager in streamlining transport management procedures, this may include, implementation of Mercy Corps fleet management policy, managing rental vehicles and keeping track of vehicles usage and submit report to the logistics manager,


·       Receiving and dispatching program goods and finance & program file from and to storage room. Logistic assistant and logistic officer will responsible for accuracy of documentations when receiving and dispatching program goods and finance & program file.


·       Tracking and updating storage room transaction by using storage ledger, logistic summary, and general correspondence and other related storage room documents, and maintained the documents properly.


·       Fill out and maintain warehouse ledger, stack bin card, waybill and all related warehouse documents, oversee day to day warehouse operations, coordinate daily labor, conduct stock reconciliation in daily basis and ensure accountability of transactions in all warehouses and storerooms meet Mercy Corps’ standards.


 


Logistic Officer Requirements:


·       Bachelor degree in Economic and Management or related field is required


·       Minimum 2 years’ experience with office administration skills is required.


·       Computer skills are required,


·       Demonstrated experience managing the assets, managing the stock at the warehouse;


·       Excellent oral and written English skills is essential.
