Timor Unearthed Lda. is an adventure tourism company operating in Timor-Leste. We arrange custom tours for tourists and educational institutions. We provide a range of tour activities including homestay with host families in a rural villages, hiking, snorkeling, cultural and historical tours, and camping. We are looking for Timorese Tour Guides to join our awesome team!

 

Are you enthusiastic about working in the tourism industry? Are you friendly and fun with a passion for showcasing your unique and special country to others? If so, we want to hear from you!

 

There are multiple positions available. To be successful in this role you require the following requires skills:

Essential:

- Fluent in English

- Excellent knowledge of Timor-Leste's history and main tourist attractions 

- Ability to confidently describe tour points of interest to visitors and respond to questions

- Understanding travellers needs

- Ability to translate (English/Tetum)

- Ability to travel domestically

- Fun and adventurous personality

- Flexible, proactive, professional and organised

 

Desirable:

- Current drivers license

- Knowledge and understanding of Timor-Leste's tourism industry and the Government's Tourism Strategy

- Experience working with international tourists

- Qualifications or related qualifications to the tourism industry

- Proficient in other international languages
